John McDermott

John McDermott is a Scottish-Canadian tenor best known for his rendering of the songs "Danny Boy" and "Loch Lomond". Born in Glasgow, Scotland, John has appeared on CBC television specials several times. He formed The Irish Tenors who spent time touring, appearing on television, and releasing a gold record. Since leaving the Irish Tenors, McDermott continues to tour extensively, performing with his own group and with symphonies all over the world.

We are delighted to welcome John McDermott to the Abbotsford Arts Centre on Sunday, March 18th at 6pm where he will perform with the Canada West Chamber Orchestra and the Abbotsford Youth Orchestra under the direction of Calvin Dyck.
