The primary 700+ Seat Performance Venue is complimented by experienced professional staff, and offers numerous theatrical options to help you meet your artistic goals. Our adjoining 3,150 sq. ft. Banquet Hall (the Community Arts Addition), seats 260 and offers a variety of unique presentation, celebration and event solutions. It can also be used as a rehearsal space and holding, reception or overflow area for renters of the theatre.
As a renter of the Abbotsford Arts Centre, you will enjoy the use of two large, well-lit dressing rooms and convertible loading bay suitable for use as a quick-change area. Additional portable costume racks and other standard amenities will complete your backstage experience. The Green Room, located right behind the stage, is equipped with a sink/counter, mirrors, video, clear com and program sound. Everything to make a cup of tea or coffee is provided! It is also fitted with two couches, a table and chairs for your comfort.
Our Workshop is primarily for theatre use - however we have been known to store props and set pieces for groups, and the First Aid Station is located in this room. The shop has also been transformed into a place for event organizers to get away from the action! When it is time to load in or out, the Loading Dock - with direct proximity to the stage - can be accessed by tractor trailer, and a portable docking plate is provided.
