Don't Miss This Unique Performance!
Join us at the Abbotsford Arts Center ( 2329 Crescent Way, Abbotsford) for this performance in recognition National Indigenous People’s Day.
This family-friendly performance is inspired the our award-winning children’s book Semá:th X̱ó:tsa: Sts’ólemeqwelh Sx̱ó:tsa / Great-Gramma’s Lake.
Working with professional puppeteer Tamara Unroe and drama educator Ana Horner, eight students from Abbotsford School of Integrated Arts (ASIA) – Sumas Mountain immersed themselves in the story of Semá:th X̱ó:tsa (Sumas Lake) to develop this spectacular performance. The students bring to life three larger-than-life illuminated puppets based on more-than-human beings that would have once lived in and around the lake.
Admission is free, but you must register to attend.
